Very grotesque animations by Argentinian motion graphics designer Esteban Diacono. I love it!

3D-Printed Visualizations Of Albums
Very geeky, very nice.
Experimental digital media, music, architecture, and sound art lab Realität — founded by Juan Manuel de J. Escalante — has created 3D-printed visualizations of different albums.
Realität describes their Microsonic Landscapes as “an algorithmic exploration of the music [they] love. Each album’s soundwave proposes a new spatial and unique journey by transforming sound into matter/space: the hidden into something visible.” Each piece was created with the open-source, three-dimensional data visualization programming language known as Processing, and then printed via a programmable machine that can print in plastic called MakerBot.

Bloodrop
Bloodrop by Alexei Popogrebsky.
'When what you see is not what you get' The 2D version of the 3D short film by Alexei Popogrebsky. We used the opportunity to test some concepts in 3D and see how it would translate to 2D, and vice versa.

Adidas France - 3d Mapping Project
Looks cool!
"Since Samsung’s well-promoted 3D TV projection on the historic Beurs van Berlage building in Amsterdam in May 2010, dozens of brands from Ralph Lauren to Mattel have dabbled in the 3D projection mapping concept. Unfortunately, many of them are not really investing in the creative which is why it all very quickly started to feel and look the same. They’ve gone down as boring and repetitive, just like the hundreds of flash mobs that had no real reason to exist. The fun and surprise factor lasts only for the first few times. The impression copycat attempts leave is boring, not creative, negative. An emotional connection with the brand is essential regardless of the medium. It is still always all about creativity, not the tools. Adidas France is succeeding here with their 3D experience.
The TCH Access Agency is busy taking it even further, planning events such as concerts, movies and circus performances with 3D. The technology is there, but it is the creativity that will evoke the wonder. - Bill Tikos."

Keiichi Matsuda 'Augmented City 3D'
"The architecture of the contemporary city is no longer simply about the physical space of buildings and landscape, more and more it is about the synthetic spaces created by the digital information that we collect, consume and organise; an immersive interface may become as much part of the world we inhabit as the buildings around us.
Augmented Reality (AR) is an emerging technology defined by its ability to overlay physical space with information. It is part of a paradigm shift that succeeds Virtual Reality; instead of disembodied occupation of virtual worlds, the physical and virtual are seen together as a contiguous, layered and dynamic whole. It may lead to a world where media is indistinguishable from 'reality'. The spatial organisation of data has important implications for architecture, as we re-evaluate the city as an immersive human-computer interface."
