"Ms. Vionnet is photographing tourists at Sacré-Coeur, the beautiful cathedral at the highest point in Paris. (Photographing up explains the subjects’ repeated camera positions.)
Though it’s a great essay, pictures like this don’t need words to explain why they’re unsettling. We all know our lives are moderated by machines, more and more, with each passing year.
This is indisputable.
It’s gotten to the point that people mainly communicate via the machines, and not IRL. (You know, in the same room, through sound waves emanating from one’s vocal cords.)"

Confide - Self-Destructing Messages
Can't wait till I can download this app on Google Play. Android version plse! Confide let you send messages that self destruct after these have been read. How cool! Real 'private' messages. Telephone numbers, addresses et cetera. Ofcourse terrorists can use this too. The Good won't exist without The Bad.

Apple denied this app. Typical. Let people take their own responsability. If they want to throw their phone in the air ... let them. I won't. Good tool to measure how many stupid people there are.

Simpel - Parrot
THE best dutch tv commercial at the moment. Simpel is a mobile operator. They don't do credit checks when you apply. These are hilarious.
The one with the parrot: no translation necessary, the parrot is telling you what's the deal but the cat is in the way, parrot tells cat to go away. That simpel!
The one with the dog: Dog starts: It's unfair. Voice is complaining that the dog spends too much time at the phone. Threatens to install a 'ceiling', a block for making calls. Dog says this is 'stupid' because it's for kids.
