It brings back memories
I started my 'career' in the photo business with the biggest foreign press agency in the Netherlands, ABC Press. We represented a lot of agency's, for example Life, Sygma, Camera Press, Magnum. Physical archives, not online yet. Can you imagine arriving at work ... there was already a package from the courier from Paris containing physical photo's, big, with the most horrible pictures from wars and disasters. Often the photographers need to smuggle the films out of the country they were in. A lot of photo's were so graphic that they were never published. Some of the war photo's are still etched in my memory.

Zippo Lighters From The Vietnam War
Quite a collection.
"Through the blog of bag label Jack Spade we've come across these ingeniously customised Vietnam-era Zippo lighters previously belonging to soldiers of the US Army. Each of the lighters have been specially engraved, reflecting the particular emotions of their respective owners at the time and adding a human element to the war we now learn about in history lessons. The collection belongs to Bradford Edwards, who decided to auction off 282 of the best at the Cowan's Auctions in Cincinnati for $35,000 (approx. £22,300).

Crazy!!

This time lapse is a culmination of 10,000 RAW images and multiple shoots capturing some of the cities relentless energy and pace of change. Everyone who has visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam knows part of the magic (love it or hate it) is in the traffic. Ever since I first set foot in HCMC I have been captivated by the cities energy. Saigon is a city on the move unlike anything I have experienced before which I wanted to capture and share."
