#MisheardLyrics on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Remember Robert Flack's 'Killing Me Softly'? At that time on my highschool we were obsessed with lyrics. New song: we would listen again and again and again and write down the lyrics ... yes youngsters, without YouTube. We thought she was singing "Strong in my bed with his fingers".



The problem with #MisheardLyrics, even if you don't hear the 'misheard' part, it sticks in your brain. In The Netherlands we call this Mondegreen a 'Mama Appelsap' (Mama Appel juice), invented by Dutch dj Timur Perlin. He had a program on the radio dealing with mondegreens. It seems that many people heard 'Mama Appelsap' on Michael Jackson's 'Wanna be startin' somethin'': "Mama say mama sa mam(a)appelsap". (Original lyric is: Mama ko mama sa maka makoosa, from the song Soul Makossa by Manu Dibango).

Robots learn how to behave socially ... robotiquette. That's something. A lot of people never learn how to behave socially. But it's smart socially. For example Victor, the scrabble robot, he isn't that good in playing scrabble. Why? If he always wins regular people don't want to play with him anymore. And ... he talks trash. It seems that regular people like that. Robots want to be wanted. My favorite? Brad the toaster ofcourse. An addicted product.
