Last thursday I went to the show Lee Friedlander 'America by Car', in FOAM, Amsterdam. I wanted to see the 'editorial' show but this was much and much better. I have to by the book, because there's so much happening in every photo. There's text, there's the view, there's the rear view mirror, there's the car. Very interesting project.
The first photo's I saw were the ones with people in it. Creepy. As if 'the driver' is a serial killer. The rear view mirror gave me the feeling of adapting, copying the surroundings. Definitely a project to look into a bit more than only visiting a gallery.
