Memory Suitcases
Can't stop looking at these photographs. They have a very good 'feel'.
"For his project “Memory Suitcases,” Israeli photographer Yuval Yairi used his suitcases as a “canvas” for displaying his photographs. Each of the images shows a photograph of a scene in Israel displayed on the surface of old luggage."

Rodney Brooks 'Why We Will Rely On Robots'
Ted Talk by Rodney Brooks, he builds robots based on biological principles of movement and reasoning. The goal: a robot who can figure things out.
"Scaremongers play on the idea that robots will simply replace people on the job. In fact, they can become our essential collaborators, freeing us up to spend time on less mundane and mechanical challenges. Rodney Brooks points out how valuable this could be as the number of working-age adults drops and the number of retirees swells. He introduces us to Baxter, the robot with eyes that move and arms that react to touch, which could work alongside an aging population -- and learn to help them at home, too."

Pimp My Ride
I can see myself driving around in this vehicle. Wonderful calligraphy work by Niels Shoe Meulman.
"By the time he was eighteen, Niels Shoe Meulman was already a graffiti legend tagging the word “Shoe” on walls. From the 80s, 90s to present time, he has formed a graf crew, founded his own design company, partnered in an advertising agency, and exhibited his work in international art shows. Shoe Meulman has gained much experience and has certainly kept busy. His latest artwork can be viewed in this post, and past calligraphy pieces can be seen here."

The Changing Shape Of Cinema
Very interesting. The History of Aspect Ratio. John Hess traces the evolution of the screen shape from the silent film days through the widescreen explosion of the 50s, to the aspect ratio of modern digital cameras.

"We removed one of your pins from Pinterest"
WTF??!! Just received this email from Pinterest. Pinned this one a while ago, can't even remember when.
"Hi Sylvana,
We recently removed one of your pins because it goes against our policies.
The pin was from your board "art" and it originally came from http://www.designboom.com/ weblog/images/images_2/andy/ sagmeisterwalsh/sagwalsh02.jpg . Could you please remove any other pins like this from your account?
We don’t allow things that are inappropriate for the general public, like sexually explicit pins, anywhere on Pinterest. We do allow works of art and educational pins, like you might see in a museum or classroom.
Could you please delete any other pins that go against our policies?
Thanks for your help,

Cute, very cute ... and very expensive these LEGO handbags $ 180. I would use it.

And Again ... Condom Wrappers
I know, easy to like. It would be nicer if the text was printed ON the condom.

Feminist Muslim Art
Feminist ... Muslim ... Art ... did you expect that these three words combined would be fun? Well, Sarah Maple makes it fun. Fun in a good way. I think this is more effective than a serious debate about the three subjects.
Love Hurts Kit
Didn't love work out? Artist Melanie Chernock comes to the rescue with the Love Hurts Kit.

Chinese Sex Doll Factory
Reading the title I guess a couple of people think that working in this factory is the best thing ever! I doubt it. I think it's more of a cock-block. A hilarious one though.
"The Jiamei plastic toy company, based in the suburb of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China, produces cheap sex dolls at an average price of 100RMB (£10), and has done so for several years. According to the company, more than 50,000 sex dolls are sold to the domestic market in Japan and Korea each year."
